PERRIN Steering Rack Lockdown creates a more solid connection between the steering rack and chassis. This increases driver feel and communication from the front tires while navigating those twisty bends.
The PERRIN Steering Rack Lockdown uses stiff urethane bushings to connect the steering rack to the chassis, reducing the soft flex of the OEM bushings. Another benefit that is important to owners of older models is urethane is more resistant to environmental factors and will last much longer than the OEM rubber bushings.
Made from polyurethane, the PERRIN Steering Rack Lockdown is perfectly designed to replace the OEM bushings without the need for special tools other than the one provided in the kit.
PERRIN Steering Rack Lockdowns provide the benefit of an increased driver feel at the cost of adding minor amounts of noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). The increase in NVH is minimal and virtually impossible to feel.
